Sheriff’s deputies in Cincinnati entered the home of Bengals running back Joe Mixon on Tuesday morning as they investigated a report of shots being fired in connection to an injured juvenile, Fox19 Now reported.
Hamilton County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of “shots fired” in Anderson Township, Ohio, at around 8:30 p.m. Monday. A juvenile was hospitalized with minor injuries in connection to the call, but it is unclear how they were injured. After sectioning off one house on Ayers Road, law enforcement eventually cordoned off a neighboring house with crime-scene tape “around 11 p.m.,” which was confirmed by Fox19 via court record to be Mixon’s home.
Law enforcement entered the running back’s home around 1:30 a.m., according to Fox19, nearly five hours after first responding. Investigators spent several hours in and around the home, appeared to take notes and reportedly left “around 3:20 a.m.”
