The New England Patriots are still looking for options at wide receiver via the NFL draft, and they have a visit scheduled with Ole Miss wideout Jonathan Mingo, per WCBI-TV’s Jon Sokoloff.
Mingo measures in at 6-foot-2, 220 pounds. He was a key piece for the Rebels’ offense last season, recording 51 catches for 861 yards and five touchdowns. Throughout his collegiate career, he tallied 112 catches for 1,758 yards and 12 touchdowns.
This is a notable visit, given that Mingo is not expected to be one of the top wide receivers in this year’s draft. New England could grab him as a value pick, while also adding depth to the position. The Patriots still need weapons at wide receiver, and they have been connected to veteran playmakers throughout the course of the offseason.
DeAndre Hopkins and Jerry Jeudy have been two of the bigger names in that regard.
Ole Miss WR Jonathan Mingo visited with the Steelers and Titans. Here are the other visits he has lined up:
Patriots
Ravens
Cowboys
Bears
Panthers
FalconsMingo ran a 4.46 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine last month and had 861 receiving yards/5 TDs for the Rebs this past year

The Patriots have conducted several pre-draft visits with players from multiple positions during the process. At the very least, they are doing their homework, as the offense looks to rejuvenate itself under Bill O’Brien.
