The New England Patriots signed offensive guard Tyrese Robinson off the Minnesota Vikings practice squad on Tuesday, according to a report from ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
Robinson will most likely be working in at the right guard position considering he has played there the last two seasons. He was a Second-Team All-Big 12 guard at Oklahoma in college.
He started his NFL career with the Washington Commanders as an undrafted free agent, and he has also played for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings.
Robinson has yet to appear in an NFL regular season game, but his presence could add a depth piece to a Patriots offensive line that has yet to find consistency at the position this season
The Patriots will be looking to pick up their third win of the season when they take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday. They’ll need the offensive line to play significantly better than it did against the Titans to have a chance at pulling off an upset on the road.
