The New England Patriots are hosting running back Leonard Fournette on a free-agent visit on Monday, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
Fournette entered the NFL as the fourth overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft and he spent three seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who eventually cut him in August 2020. He spent two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and won a Super Bowl under Tom Brady.
Tampa split carries between Fournette and Ronald Jones in 2020 but Fournette moved into the RB1 role in 2021. He also built out his role in the passing game, with a career-high 69 catches for 454 yards and two touchdowns to go with his 180 rushes for 812 yards and eight touchdown runs.

New England has running backs Damien Harris, Rhamondre Stevenson, James White, Ty Montgomery and J.J. Taylor. They saw running back Brandon Bolden depart in free agency. The Patriots would be absolutely stacked at running back if they added another big talent in Fournette.
