Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday have gone their separate ways, according to report from the New York Post’s Page Six on Wednesday.
Per the report, Belichick and Holliday have “been involved in a drawn out, back-and-forth breakup" for almost a year.
Belichick, 71, had been involved with Holliday since 2007. Per the report, Holliday has “been staying” at Belichick’s residence in Nantucket, and she also serves as director of the Bill Belichick Foundation.
The report about Belichick’s romantic life comes just a few days before New England’s season opener against the Eagles, which is scheduled for Sunday at 4:25 p.m. EST.
Prior to the Week 1 clash at Gillette Stadium, the Patriots are planning to honor former franchise quarterback Tom Brady, who won six Super Bowl championships with the team from 2000-2019 before joining the Buccaneers in 2020.
The ’23 NFL season will be Belichick’s 50th as an NFL coach and 29th as a head coach. He’s entering his 24th year as head coach of the Patriots, having won six Super Bowls during his career, all of them with New England.
