An MRI on Tuesday revealed Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton avoided serious injury, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The organization held its breath when the budding superstar had to be carried off the court after a brutal-looking injury on Monday night, but the MRI showed he suffered just a Grade 1 left hamstring strain and will be reevaluated in about two weeks.
During the second quarter against the Boston Celtics, Haliburton was driving to the basket when he tried to stop on a dime. Instead, his foot slipped and he awkwardly ended up doing the splits while screaming in pain. His teammates had to carry him to the locker room as he donned a towel over his head.

Haliburton, 23, was selected to his first career All-Star Game last year and is averaging 23.6 points and a league-leading 12.5 assists per game this season.
The Pacers currently sit in the Eastern Conference’s No. 6 playoff seed with a 21–15 record but will have to fight on without their star guard for a few weeks.
