The Cleveland Browns have a quarterback problem as Deshaun Watson did not practice outdoors on Monday. Reports are that he did some throwing inside, which is a good sign. However, a chance remains that he may not play against the San Francisco 49ers. If that’s the case The OBR’s Brad Stainbrook is reporting the Browns will turn to veteran P.J. Walker over Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
Walker has more experience in the NFL with seven starts under his belt with the Panthers. It’s not a ton more experience but it is more than the rookie and with the 49ers defense coming to town that matters.
Buy Browns TicketsIf the Browns don’t have Watson it may be a near impossible task to beat San Francisco but Walker gives you the best chance. His mobility and ability to extend plays with his legs will be crucial as the offensive line has struggled and is set to face one of the best defensive lines in football.
The #Browns will start PJ Walker if Deshaun Watson can’t play on Sunday, per a league source. https://t.co/6uC4oCqmS4
