This is good to see — Josina Anderson reports for CBS Sports that New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore is expected to play against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday after missing several weeks of practice and two preseason games with a knee injury. Lattimore was limited in practice earlier this week but was upgraded to full participation on Thursday, and his arrow is trending in the right direction.
So what happened the last time Lattimore covered DeAndrer Hopkins, Tennessee’s prized offseason acquisition? They last met in 2019 when Hopkins was playing for the Houston Texans, and he was targeted 7 times with Lattimore in coverage, per Pro Football Focus charting. But Hopkins only caught 4 passes for 51 yards and a touchdown with Lattimore competing on every target. We should anticipate a similar big-time matchup again on Sunday.
