To become a player in the Eastern Conference race to the NBA Finals, the Chicago Bulls will need to make a move or two at the trade deadline.
Despite Lonzo Ball yet to play so far this season, the Bulls’ backcourt depth is deep, leaving one of their ballhandlers as potentially the odd man out.
On Monday, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype said on “The HoopsHype Podcast” that executives around the league think the Bulls will be shopping Coby White ahead of the trade deadline.
Scotto:
Coby White’s role and production have declined for the third straight season thus far, and according to rival executives, he’s a trade candidate for the Bulls looking ahead before the deadline.
White is averaging a career-low 8.1 points while playing a career-low 22 minutes per game while shooting a career-worst 29.4% from 3-point range. And with the consistent contributions from Goran Dragic and Alex Caruso off the bench, along with Ayo Dosunmu getting the start with Ball out, White seems like the he’s on the bottom of the guard totem pole.
