Lakers star Anthony Davis is expected to play in Game 6 against the Warriors on Friday after suffering a head injury Wednesday night, according to Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes.
Lakers coach Darvin Ham told reporters Thursday that Davis is not in concussion protocol.
“He’s doing great,” Ham said. “... He’ll be listed as probable tomorrow.”
There was legitimate concern Wednesday that Davis suffered a concussion after he could be seen catching an elbow to the head from Golden State center Kevon Looney when the two were looking to grab a rebound under the basket in the fourth quarter. Davis was on the bench in noticeable pain and was wobbly trying to walk back to the locker room, according to Haynes. He even needed to be placed in a wheelchair.

After the Lakers’ 121–106 loss, however, coach Darvin Ham said Davis “seems to be doing really good already.” Davis is a pivotal piece for Los Angeles and has been vital during his team’s playoff run. In the Western Conference semifinals alone, he’s averaging 22.4 points, 13.4 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game.
Davis will look to continue to dominate in the Game 6 home game on Friday with tip-off scheduled for 10 p.m. ET on ESPN.
