Kyle Kuzma has reportedly agreed on a four-year, $102 million deal to return to the Wizards, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Prior to earning the new deal, Kuzma declined his $13 million player option. Kuzma, who was linked to the Rockets this offseason, returns to a Wizards franchise that has established that is undergoing a rebuild.

Washington parted ways with Kristaps Porzingis in a three-team trade that saw him land with the Celtics, Marcus Smart traded to the Grizzlies and Tyus Jones,Mike Muscala and Danilo Gallinari heading to the Wizards.

The forward also will play alongside Jordan Poole, who was acquired from Golden State in a trade in exchange for Chris Paul.

Kuzma, who turns 28 on July 24, averaged a career-high 21.2 points and 7.2 rebounds for the Wizards in the 2022–23 season.

Kuzma scored 30 or more points during 10 different times last season. He finished with a career-best 40 points in the Wizards’ win against the Knicks in January.
