According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, doctors believe that Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson will miss 4-6 weeks with his hamstring injury. Once 4-6 weeks have passed, Jefferson will undergo imaging tests in four weeks to see when he can return.
We knew it was at least a four-game absence once the Vikings placed him on injured reserve on Wednesday. Hamstring injuries aren’t one to mess around with as they can be aggravated easily.
ESPN’s Kevin Seifert saw Jefferson looked “pretty spry” at the Vikings facility earlier this week, which is a good sign overall for his immediate future.
This is the first time that Jefferson has missed time as a member of the Minnesota Vikings. The earliest that Jefferson can return is in week 10 against the New Orleans Saints.
