With the Jacksonville Jaguars’ head coaching search spiraling, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the team is “expected” to expand their interview schedule.
At the moment, the only scheduled interviews are for Patrick Graham and Robert Saleh–both of which will take place this week.
This comes after Ben Johnson took the Chicago job earlier in the week, with The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reporting that the Jaguars’ “setup” did not align with what Johnson was looking for.
Then, on Wednesday, Tampa Bay offensive coordinator Liam Coen–who was thought to be the front-runner for the Jaguars’ head coaching vacancy–took his name out of the running to stay with the Bucs.
Not coincidentally, owner Shad Khan made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon that the team was parting ways with general manager Trent Baalke.
Two names that Rapoport mentions as candidates to be added to the interview list are Bills’ offensive coordinator Joe Brady and Eagles’ offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.
Both took initial interviews with the team and because the Bills and Eagles are still in the playoffs, neither can interview until next week.
Rapoport didn’t specify who else, but did say that Brady and Moore were “among others” in version 2.0 of the Jaguars’ head coaching search.
