The New England Patriots and safety Jabrill Peppers agreed to a three-year contract extension on Friday, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
The base value of the deal is $24 million and worth up to $30 million.
Peppers was signed as a free agent by the Patriots in 2022. He has since become one of the main stabilizers of the New England defense, recording 138 combined tackles, two interceptions and eight pass deflections.
Peppers has created a formidable safety combo with Kyle Dugger, who also received a contract extension this offseason. This locks in a player in Peppers who is entering the prime years of his career. Furthermore, this reinforces the fact that Patriots management wants to keep their in-house players.
The Patriots and S Jabrill Peppers are finalizing a 3-year extension with a base value of $24M and worth up to $30M, per source.
A reward for their best defensive player in 2023.

Peppers will look to have another strong season for the Patriots in 2024.
This contract ensures the team maintains consistency at the safety position for the foreseeable future. The Patriots defense is one of the strongest units in the NFL, and it is smart to keep it intact for as long as possible.
