The New York Giants aren’t quite done with free agency just yet and will host linebacker Deion Jones in East Rutherford on Monday and Tuesday.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport was the first to report the news.
Former #Browns and long-time #Falcons star LB Deion Jones is visiting the #Giants today, source said. They may not be done adding at the LB position.

The 28-year-old Jones was originally a second-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons in the 2016 NFL draft. He spent the entirety of his career in Atlanta before spending last season as a member of the Cleveland Browns.
In 96 career games (88 starts), Jones has recorded 696 tackles (453 solo, 46 for a loss), five forced fumbles, 23 QB hits, 11.0 sacks, 12 interceptions, and an impressive five defensive touchdowns.
As a rookie in 2016, Jones was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. A year later in 2017, he earned a trip to the Pro Bowl.
Jones has fallen off a bit in recent years, earning Pro Football Focus grades of 34.6 and 48.3 in 2021 and 2022, respectively. His best analytical season came in 2017 when he earned an overall grade of 87.6.
Despite his struggles in recent years, the Giants remain thin at linebacker and could look to sign Jones on a veteran minimum deal. It would be a low-risk, high-reward move if a deal can get done.
