Georgia All-American tight end Brock Bowers is expected to play on Saturday night when the No. 2 Bulldogs host No. 9 Ole Miss, according to a report from Brooks Austin of Dawgs Daily.
The reigning Mackey Award winner has missed the last two games with a high ankle sprain suffered in Georgia’s win over Vanderbilt on Oct. 14.
Bowers underwent tightrope surgery on his ankle in hopes of reducing his recovery time and now after missing the last two games against Florida and Missouri, is slated to return to the lineup.
Bowers leads the team in receptions (41), yards (567) and touchdowns (four) despite missing the last two games. Assuming he’s close to full health, the Georgia passing game will certainly receive a boost with him back in the fold for quarterback Carson Beck.
Georgia and Ole Miss are set to kickoff between the hedges on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
