The Ohio State Buckeyes are getting a boost to their baseball staff according to Kendall Rogers of D1 Baseball.
After a run to the College World Series, Texas Longhorns assistant Sean Allen is heading to Colombus. Allen was named Assistant of the Year by D1 Baseball.
This past season the Buckeyes baseball team finished the year 21-30 (8-14 in the Big Ten) with a staff ERA of 6.51. Under the guidance of Allen, the Longhorns finished with a staff ERA of 4.22, which was tops in the Big 12.
Allen will take the place of Gregg Wallis, who left to take the head coach position with Grand Canyon. It remains to be seen how quickly the new addition can make an impact on the staff.
