Amid widespread speculation regarding his future in Minnesota, Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins will apparently be staying put.
Cousins is not expected to waive the no-trade clause in his contract this season, according to a Saturday afternoon report from Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The 35-year-old Cousins has been the subject of considerable trade speculation as Minnesota has limped to a 1–4 start. The Vikings are three games behind the first-place Lions in the NFC North, and they placed wide receiver Justin Jefferson on the injured reserve on Wednesday.
The four-time Pro Bowl signal-caller is in the final year of a two-year, $66 million extension he signed on March 18, 2020.

The NFL trade deadline is Oct. 31 this season.
