Eagles signing ex-Titans P Brett Kern to practice squad

The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly signing former Tennessee Titans punter, Brett Kern.

The news comes from ESPN’s Adam Schefter. According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Kern has been inked to the practice squad but is expected to be promoted to the active roster by Saturday.

A three-time Pro Bowler and one-time First-Team All-Pro, Kern spent 13 seasons with the Titans and became one of the best punters in the NFL and one of the more beloved players in franchise history.

After his numbers dipped in recent years, the Titans parted ways with Kern prior to the 2022 campaign after he lost out in a competition with rookie punter Ryan Stonehouse, who has proven to be quite the find.

Kern doesn’t have the biggest leg, but his ability to accurately angle punts and pin opponents deep was always his best quality.

As hard as it is to see Kern join A.J. Brown on the team that crushed the Titans just a few weeks ago, it would be nice to see Kern get his first ring.
