The John Ross experiment appears to be over in Philadelphia, as the Eagles are releasing the veteran wide receiver ahead of the 53-man roster cutdowns, Josina Anderson reports.
Ross joined the Eagles after impressing during their rookie minicamp back in May.
I'm told the #Eagles are releasing WR John Ross, per source.

In 2017, Ross set the record for the fastest 40-yard dash time at the NFL Scouting Combine at 4.22 seconds. Former Texas WR Xavier Worthy, now of the Kansas City Chiefs, broke it back in March.
Injuries limited Ross throughout his tenure in Cincinnati, and his most productive years came in 2018 when he logged seven touchdown catches among his 21 receptions, and then in 2019, when Ross had 28 catches for 506 yards, averaging more than 18 yards per reception.
In five seasons with the Bengals and Giants, Ross logged 62 catches for 957 yards and 11 touchdowns.
