The Miami Dolphins have been extremely active during this offseason, as they’ve added a ton of new players to help turn their team into a contender.
Now, they’ve added another talented veteran, as Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson reported that the Dolphins have agreed to terms with free agent linebacker Melvin Ingram.
Ingram visited the Dolphins early in the offseason, but nothing had been rumored until today.
Last season, Ingram split time with the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers, recording just two sacks. However, according to Pro Football Focus, Ingram created pressure on 11% of his pass-rushing snaps in 2021, which is about equal to Emmanuel Ogbah’s production.
His presence will not only benefit the play on the field, but he should be able to help out younger players like Jaelan Phillips who are looking to make a name for themselves.
