As the Miami Dolphins prepare for the 2024 season, they’ll need to plan for what positions they’ll need to target through both free agency and the NFL draft in the coming months.
With questions about left tackle Terron Armstead’s future still looming, left tackle might’ve been a big need for Miami. However, the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson is reporting that Armstead is expected to play in 2024.
Armstead signed a massive five-year, $75 million contract with the Dolphins prior to the 2022 season, but injuries have followed him from his time with the New Orleans Saints. In two years in aqua and orange, Armstead has missed 11 games and has played hurt in many more.
When he’s healthy, Armstead is one of the league’s best tackles, but that’s something that hasn’t been seen much in South Florida.
The 32-year-old is set to have his $13.3 million salary, which is already partially guaranteed ($5 million) become fully guaranteed next month.
If the Dolphins want to get the best out of their offense in 2024, they need to find a way to keep Armstead on the field.
