The Miami Dolphins still have a lot of work to do before they’re cap-compliant for the start of the new league year, but that hasn’t stopped them from retaining their own pending free agents.
According to Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz, the Dolphins agreed to a two-year deal with punter Jake Bailey that’s worth up to $5 million.
Bailey, 26, signed a one-year deal with Miami last offseason after spending his first four seasons with the New England Patriots, where he made an All-Pro team in 2020.
Last year, he finished 29th in yards per punt (45.7), 25th in net yards per punt (40.7) and 16th in percentage of punts downed inside the 20-yard line (37.7%).
