Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a new team, as his move from the Packers to the Jets formed the nerve center of NFL offseason headlines.
Now, he has a new contract to go with it.
Rodgers has agreed to a new two-year, $75 million deal with New York through the conclusion of the 2024 season, according to a Wednesday afternoon report from Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
The deal lops $35 million off Rodgers's previous deal with Green Bay, which tied him to the Packers through '24 after he signed a three-year, $151 million extension in the spring of 2022.
After Green Bay went 8–9 in ’22, Rodgers made public his desire to play for the Jets. The trade was completed on April 24, with the Packers sending the four-time MVP and two draft picks to New York for four draft picks, including a 2024 second-round pick that can become a first-rounder if Rodgers plays 65% of the snaps this season.

Rodgers threw 26 touchdowns against 12 interceptions for Green Bay last year, with the latter total representing his highest since 2008.
The Jets are scheduled to open their season on Sept. 11 against the Bills.
