Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson reportedly suffered an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder during the Week 5 win against the Tennessee Titans, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
The X-rays were negative for Richardson, which is a positive sign. The initial diagnosis is an AC joint sprain, and Richardson will undergo an MRI to further assess the injury.

It still isn’t clear what the recovery timeline will be, but this is probably one of the better situations, all things considered. There’s still a chance Richardson misses some time, but it’s better than suffering any broken bones or ligament damage.
The Colts have been able to survive with Gardner Minshew at quarterback, especially on Sunday when they totaled 429 yards, much of which came on the back of 195 scrimmage yards from Zack Moss.
We likely will get an update later in the week, and we should get more information when he gets the results of the MRI.
