The Falcons and guard Chris Lindstrom have agreed to terms on a five-year, $105 million extension, a source tells Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer. Lindstrom’s new deal includes $63 million fully guaranteed. The extension was first reported by NFL Network and ESPN.
Lindstrom is considered one of the best offensive lineman in the NFL and his new deal pays him accordingly. He was named second-team All-Pro this past season after starting in all 17 games for Atlanta in 2022. He has not missed a game since his rookie year in 2019.
He was drafted with the No. 14 pick in the 2019 draft out of Boston College but broke his foot in Week 1 of the season. Since returning from the major injury, he has been a constant for the Falcons offense.
The move follows Atlanta’s reported trade for Patriots tight end Jonnu Smith and it will likely not be their last attempt at improving its offense.
