The Kansas City Chiefs may soon get some much-needed reinforcements for the second half of their 2024 Super Bowl defense campaign.
On Tuesday, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that the defending Super Bowl champions intend to designate veteran running back Isiah Pacheco and defensive lineman Charles Omenihu for return from their injured reserve list.
Pacheco was injured earlier this season and has missed all of Kansas City’s games since Week 2 due to a fractured fibula.
Omenihu, who signed with the Chiefs as a free agent in 2023, is recovering from an ACL injury that he sustained during the AFC Championship Game earlier this year.

Though it remains unclear exactly when both players will return to action for Kansas City, their return is a great sign for the Chiefs heading into the second half of the regular season.
Stay tuned to see if head coach Andy Reid reveals when Pacheco and Omenihu can be expected to return to the field.
