From Inside Training Camp Live on @nflnetwork: #Chiefs LT Orlando Brown will not report to training camp tonight. No surprise, as this has been the expectation. So don’t expect Brown anytime soon in St. Joseph, MO, he tweeted without hesitation @AndrewSiciliano @RapSheet pic.twitter.com/TwBWEOB51S

A new report from NFL Network confirms that Kansas City Chiefs LT Orlando Brown Jr. is not expected to report to training camp on time. Veterans must arrive at training camp this evening and Brown Jr. has not yet reported to Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri alongside his teammates.
“(Orlando Brown Jr.) has until 10:00 p.m. local time to report to training camp,” NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo said. “My understanding is that he is not going to make it before that, that he is not reporting to training camp and likely will not be there for quite some time.”
Chiefs HC Andy Reid didn’t know whether to expect Brown Jr. at the onset of training camp, but the team was preparing for all possibilities.
“I don’t know that,” Reid told reporters on Friday. “I don’t know whether he’s going to be here or not. If he’s here great. If he’s not, we move on. That’s how we’ve done it in the past. This isn’t the first time I’ve been through something like this. My thing is, we just go. Whoever the next guy is to step in there — we know Joe Thuney can do it in a heartbeat. If we need to go that direction, we can go that direction. We have some new faces in there who can also do it.”
As for where things go from here, Garafolo continues to mention this holdout potentially dragging on into the regular season.
“I had said in the past that I didn’t expect him at training camp,” Garafolo continued. “And I said even Week 1 could even potentially be in question for Orlando Brown. We’ll see how that goes, but for the time being, we are not expecting Orlando Brown at training camp any time soon and he will not report alongside the rest of his Chiefs teammates. Remember, he has not signed that franchise tag so he cannot be fined.”
