The 2023 NBA draft is less than a month away, which means pre-draft visits with prospects will increase exponentially for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
One of those players includes Alabama center Charles Bediako, who the Thunder have reportedly worked out in a pre-draft visit, per Rookie Wire.
The Thunder currently own three draft picks — No. 12, No. 37 and No. 50. Considering their recent history, odds are the Thunder will make at least one draft trade.
Bediako spent two college seasons at Alabama. In 37 games last season, he averaged 6.4 points on 65.9% shooting, 6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks.
The 21-year-old recently decided to stay in the draft despite having the option to withdraw his name and return to college.
Bediako will likely be an undrafted free-agent target for the Thunder. If they like him enough, perhaps they can draft him with their No. 50 selection. With the addition of a third two-way spot, he could be a candidate to receive a deal.
The 2023 NBA draft is scheduled for Thursday, June 22. A full list of prospects who’ve met with the Thunder can be read here.
