The Falcons are set to sign six-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro defensive end Calais Campbell to a one-year deal, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The 15-year NFL veteran will now play his 16th year in Atlanta and is poised to quickly emerge as a leader in the locker room while adding some production for the Falcons as another pass rusher.
Campbell, who turns 37 on Sept. 1, started 14 games for the Ravens last season and recorded 5.5 sacks, 36 total tackles and two forced fumbles.
In his 15 professional seasons, which has included time with the Cardinals, Jaguars and the Ravens, Campbell has recorded 99.0 sacks, 809 combined tackles, 165 tackles for loss and 16 forced fumbles.
He will most certainly eclipse the 100-sack mark this season as long as he stays healthy playing for the fourth (and perhaps final) franchise of his illustrious career.
