Report: Bulls making Coby White ‘off limits’ in trade talks

With Zach LaVine set to undergo season-ending surgery, one of the biggest decisions the Chicago Bulls had to make at the trade deadline has been made for them. However, they still have toms other choices to make in regard to who they want to trade, who they want to keep, and what direction they want to take the team in.

Alex Caruso is an obvious trade candidate, though the Bulls have held firm on the stance that he’s close to untouchable. As for DeMar DeRozan, he’s in the final year of his contract with no extension in hand, yet there hasn’t been much smoke around a potential trade.

Regardless of all of that, the Bulls are making one player completely “off limits,” per Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports – Coby White.

“After he was considered available at last year’s trade deadline and before the 2023 NBA Draft, Coby White is now considered off limits in Chicago, sources said, after this breakout season,” Fischer wrote.

Fischer also added some additional notes about the Bulls’ potential trade deadline plans.

“The Bulls seem all but guaranteed to hold onto Zach LaVine after the All-Star guard underwent season-ending surgery, leaving reserve center Andre Drummond considered to be the most likely Chicago player to be moved by Thursday, sources said. Alex Caruso has indeed drawn interest from various postseason contenders, but the Bulls’ asking price is known to be quite steep, according to league sources.

Just two days away, the February 8 trade deadline will be crucial to the future of the Bulls organization.
