Report: Broncos Open to Trading Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy

The Broncos’ 1-4 start to the 2023 NFL season has ignited trade rumblings, and it appears one area of a potential overhaul could be at the wide receiver position. Both Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy are names Denver will reportedly “listen to offers on,” as ESPN’s Dan Graziano reported.

Both Sutton and Jeudy have been involved in various trade rumors dating back to the offseason, but as the NFL trade deadline on Oct. 31 draws near, that the buzz surrounding a potential move could intensify. To make matters potentially worse, the Broncos have a tough stretch ahead, with two games against the Chiefs in Weeks 6 and 8, with a matchup against the Packers in the middle.

Following Denver’s bye in Week 9, which falls on the trade deadline, they’ll head to Buffalo to face the Bills on Monday Night Football.

Sutton has been with the Broncos since 2018, when he was drafted in the second round. The 28-year-old has played in 70 games, catching 260 passes for 3,716 yards and 17 touchdowns. His best season came in 2019 when the former SMU standout caught 72 passes for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns, all of which are career-bests.

Jeudy was a high-profile addition for the Broncos, drafted No. 15 overall in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft out of Alabama. After showing signs of upside as a rookie, catching 52 balls for 856 yards and three scores, he missed six games the following year.

However, Jeudy bounced back in 2022 for the best season of his career thus far, as the third-year wideout totaled 67 receptions for 972 yards and six touchdowns. But an injury and slow start this year has only increased the trade speculation around him.
