As we reach the month of the NFL’s trade deadline, the Denver Broncos do not plan to be sellers, at least not yet.
The Broncos are 1-3, but the team isn’t giving up hope on salvaging their 2023 season. In a report published Sunday, this is what NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport had to say about Denver’s status in the trade market:
The Broncos, for instance, are not in sell mode despite last week’s historic loss to the Dolphins, sources say. Denver general manager George Paton is someone who will always field trade calls, and they do have two receivers in Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy, who drew trade interest in the offseason. But Denver isn’t there yet.
It’s worth pointing out that Rapoport left a caveat in his report — the Broncos aren’t interested in selling, yet. If we get closer to the trade deadline and Denver hasn’t rattled off a few wins, perhaps GM George Paton and coach Sean Payton will reconsider their trade stance.
The NFL’s trade deadline in 2023 is Oct. 31, two days after Week 8.
