Report: Bills signing former Texans QB Kyle Allen

The Buffalo Bills like having Allens in their quarterback room.

According to Aaron Wilson from KPRC-TV, the Bills are signing former Houston Texans quarterback Kyle Allen to be the backup for starter Josh Allen.

Allen started two games for the Texans last season as the team benched starter Davis Mills, who compiled a 1-8-1 record. However, the Texans’ offense was still unable to get going with Allen under center as they dropped both contests he started and fell to 1-10-1. Houston had to deploy a two-quarterback system with Davis and backup Jeff Driskel rotating throughout the remainder of the games — sometimes after each play.

The former Texas A&M Aggie and Houston Cougar signal caller was in a pro-am with his future Bills teammate early this offseason.
