The Atlanta Falcons are reportedly taking things up a notch with their interest in former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick. Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the team has scheduled a second interview with the legendary coach this weekend.
Belichick is still in pursuit of another coaching opportunity after parting ways with the Patriots after the 2023 season. The Falcons, who recently fired Arthur Smith, have a young, competitive roster, and they own a top-10 draft pick in 2024 to potentially address the quarterback position.
It makes sense they’d have serious interest in a six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach.
The team also interviewed Michigan Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh, who just knocked off Alabama and Washington to win the CFP National Championship.

Belichick is 15 wins away from breaking Don Shula’s record for most wins as an NFL head coach.
And who knows? If hired by the Falcons, perhaps he could create a contender in an NFC South division that is among the worst in football.
