Report: Aaron Rodgers Met With Jets, Delivered One Simple Message for His Teammates

Aaron Rodgers met with his Jets teammates Saturday for the first time since his surgery on his torn Achilles and apparently had a direct message for his squad: stop pointing fingers. The news of the meeting and Rodgers’s message was first reported by The Athletic and then confirmed by Fox Sports

This shouldn’t come as a surprise from Rodgers. During an appearance on The Pat MacAfee Show on Tuesday following the team’s ugly 15–10 loss to the Patriots, Rodgers called out his teammates after several of them were seen yelling at one another on the sidelines during the game.

“There’s some heated conversations on the sideline and different things,” he said Tuesday. “I think we need to hold our poise a little bit better, really just offensively. We need to not have some of those things happen on the sideline and to be a little better.”

Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer had more had this report Sunday morning:

During the matchup against the Patriots, running back Michael Carter was seen getting in the face of running backs coach Taylor Embree. Additionally, cameras showed wide receiver Garrett Wilson and quarterback Zach Wilson having an animated conversation as well. Hopefully for New York’s sake, Rodgers’s words had an impact and the team will come together for its Sunday Night Football game against the Chiefs.
