Aaron Gordon Injury: Nuggets' Forward To Miss 'Multiple Weeks'

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon “will miss multiple weeks” after suffering a right calf strain in Denver’s game Monday night against the Toronto Raptors. Gordon left early and only played four minutes in the Nuggets’ 121-119 victory.

Prior to this injury, Gordon had suited up for seven games, averaging 15.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists. He’s shooting 54.5 percent beyond the arc and touts a 66.3 true shooting percentage. His absence will be a notable loss for Denver, which is low on both high-end wing play and reliable depth. The 4-3 Nuggets are off to an uneven start this season. They’re also already without point guard Jamal Murray, who exited Friday’s loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves because of a concussion and missed Monday’s contest.

Denver will now ask more of Nikola Jokic, Michael Porter Jr., Christian Braun and Russell Westbrook, the last of whom tallied 21 points, six assists and six rebounds while starting in place of Murray on Monday. The Nuggets return to the court Wednesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
