The Arizona Cardinals currently hold the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft. Their attachment to actually making the third pick is more specious by the day as the draft approaches in a little over two weeks.
The pick has been the subject of considerable trade projections for months. Arizona has a new GM, new head coach and a franchise QB in Kyler Murray, who will likely miss at least most of the 2023 season with a knee injury. Their roster needs help in many spots, and trading back to acquire more picks has been a popular notion for mock drafters since the draft order was determined.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, those trade speculations are based in reality. “At least six teams” have had discussions with the Cardinals about possibly making a trade involving the No. 3 pick.
At least six teams have inquired with the Arizona Cardinals about trading up for the third overall pick in the upcoming April 27 NFL Draft, per league sources. Cardinals still are mulling whether to move pick or make it.
