Rep. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., recently discussed the American Airlines plane collision near D.C. and emphasized the importance of President Trump's swift confirmations in responding to emergencies effectively.
Cotton highlighted the need for Trump's nominees to be promptly placed in their federal government roles to ensure a coordinated response to incidents like the D.C. plane crash. The recent assumption of Sean Duffy as Trump's transportation secretary just before the tragic event underscored the significance of timely confirmations.

On Thursday, three more of Trump's nominees were set to undergo hearings. These nominees included Tulsi Gabbard for director of national intelligence, Kash Patel for FBI director, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for health and human services.
