Rep. Mike Waltz, President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming national security adviser, is expected to resign from Congress on Monday, according to a source familiar with the plans. Waltz, a combat-decorated Green Beret with experience serving in Afghanistan, the Middle East, and Africa, is known for his loyalty to Trump. If appointed, he would be the first former Green Beret to hold this role.
On Monday morning, Waltz was spotted leaving the White House grounds before heading to St. John’s church for a private service attended by Trump.
