Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and her daughter were seen on the campus of Columbia University on Thursday. Isra Hirsi, the daughter, was suspended from Barnard College after participating in anti-Israel protests at Columbia last week. She was one of over 100 individuals arrested and given a summons for trespassing following the protests at Columbia University.
Isra Hirsi, who is 21 years old, expressed frustration over not being able to attend classes as she was evicted from campus housing and prohibited from using the dining hall with her meal plan.
