Rep. Dean Phillips Remains Quiet On Primary Bid Vindication

Democratic presidential candidate Phillips is interviewed by Reuters in Manchester Dean Phillips

Democratic Rep. Dean Phillips declined to directly address questions regarding his feelings of vindication in his Democratic primary bid, which was centered around concerns about the president's age. When asked, Phillips chose not to provide a direct response, stating that he would leave that judgment to others. He emphasized that he had presented his case eight months ago and preferred to let others speak on the matter.

Phillips ended his campaign in March after falling significantly behind Biden in several primaries. Despite this, he expressed his support for Biden and his commitment to doing whatever was necessary to help defeat Donald Trump.

When questioned about his continued support for Biden, Phillips refrained from making further comments beyond his previous statements. He hinted at sharing additional perspectives in the near future.

During the primary, Phillips had advocated for a debate between himself, Biden, and Democratic candidate Marianne Williamson. However, he has maintained a low profile since the initial presidential debate. The day after the debate, he shared a Mahatma Gandhi quote on social media, urging individuals to speak only if their words improved upon the silence.
