Reo Hatate and Carl Starfelt give Celtic fitness boost ahead of Hearts test

Reo Hatate is back to full fitness for Celtic after picking up a knock against Aberdeen.

REO HATATE and Carl Starfelt will both be in contention to start for Celtic against Hearts tomorrow after proving their fitness this week to manager Ange Postecoglou.

Hatate missed the trips to Ross County and Kilmarnock after picking up a knock against Aberdeen on the opening day of the Premiership season, but was only left out of the 5-0 win at Rugby Park as a precaution.

Starfelt did feature in that match as a second half substitute, replacing Mortiz Jenz, but has suffered no adverse affects from his first appearance following a hamstring injury.

Jenz, who was forced off after picking up a knock of his own, is also fit and available for selection.

"The squad is all good,” Postecoglou said. “Everyone came through unscathed after last weekend's game.

"Reo Hatate has trained all week. He was close last week but we left him out due to the artificial pitch. He is training well and everyone else is available.

"Carl Starfelt has been fine since the game and has a good couple of weeks in training. He is fit and available and it was good to see him get the goal at Kilmarnock as he had a tough summer with the rehab.

"It's good to have him part of the group again and he will be a big contributor for us.”
