Renfrewshire police step up efforts to trace man missing for a week

Police in Johnstone are asking for the public’s help in tracing a missing man.

Harry Roberts was reported missing to police on Thursday, having been last seen a week ago today.

The 27-year-old was last seen around 7am on the town’s North Road, with police saying it is “unusual” for friends and family not to have heard from him.

PC Colin McDonald told Renfrewshire Live: On leaving North Road last Friday morning, Harry said that he was heading into Glasgow City Centre, however, we don’t know if indeed he did travel there.

“He’s not been in touch with family or friends since then which really unusual hence his family’s and our concern.

“If you have any information as to Harry’s whereabouts, or have any information that will help officers trace him, then please call Johnstone Police.”

“We’d also appeal to Harry to get in touch with either his family or police to let everyone know he is safe and well.”

Harry is described as white, 5ft 5in tall, of slim build and was wearing a navy tracksuit top, bottoms and black Nike trainers the last time ihe was seen.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101.

Information can be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
