A frantic search has been launched for a Renfrewshire man who hasn't been seen or heard from since the day he arrived in Lanzarote for a holiday ten days ago.
Gary Watson Shearer disappeared from outside a local pub on March 16 where he had gone to celebrate St Patrick's Day and failed to show up for his flight home a week later.
The 53-year-old, from Renfrew, checked into his hotel in the resort town of Puerto del Carmen around 5pm, leaving money and his belongings behind, before heading to Bar 67.

Gary, who walks with a limp and suffers from epilepsy and Type 2 diabetes, was picked up on CCTV at the popular bar chatting to a group of men before leaving the venue and sitting on the pavement outside.
His sister Nikki told Glasgow Live that he hasn't been seen since.
She explained: "He had been to Lanzarote in November/ December with my dad and his friend and loved it so much that he decided he wanted to go back for St Patrick's Day.
"We tried to convince him not to go on his own but he's a 53-year-old man so there wasn't much we could do.
"We've spoken to the group he was with at the bar who described him as being a bit drunk but because he walks with a limp, it can make him look much drunker than he actually is.
"From there, he left the bar and was sitting on the pavement outside. We've been contacted by a man who stopped and chatted with Gary there and tried to get him in a taxi but the driver refused.
"The man headed off and Gary was still on the pavement. That's the last time he was seen. He hasn't even slept in the hotel and all of his stuff was still there."
Although Gary had some money on him, the majority of his cash was left behind in the hotel room as well as all of his other possessions including his passport. He has his phone but hasn't made contact with anyone and hasn't been active on social media since posting a picture of himself at the hotel pool on the day he arrived.
He was due to fly home on March 23 but never showed up leaving his family extremely concerned for his wellbeing.
Gary's mum Ann and dad Daniel are set to fly out to Lanzarote to meet with police and put up posters alerting locals about the disappearance.
Nikki added: "We're all just beside ourselves with worry, every scenario goes through your head about what could have happened. You think the worse, has he had a fit and fallen? Is he lying in a ditch somewhere? He's without his medication.
"Luckily the police have been fantastic and have helped us track down his movements before he disappeared and are hopefully going to get a location on his phone and see when it was last used."
Gary is described as wearing a hoops Celtic top with cream/beige-coloured shorts and white Nike trainers with green and yellow.
He has short hair and walks with a distinctive limp.
Anyone who sees Gary and has any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the family on 07722094907 or 07305243618 or contact local police.
An Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Spokesperson said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who has been reported missing in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities.”
