Police in Renfrew have launched an investigation after a woman was sexually assaulted this morning.
A police cordon remains at a wooded area off of Meadowside Street, near to Clyde Street after a 23-year-old woman was attacked.
Local officers are investigating the incident to establish the full circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating a report of the sexual assault of a 23-year-old woman which occurred on Monday, May 2, near to Clyde Street, Renfrew.
“Enquiries are at an early stage and ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.”
The attack comes just a week after a 27-year-old woman was assaulted in the area.
The 27-year-old victim was left badly shaken after she was approached by a man on the Clyde Walkway, near Meadowside Street, at around 7.45pm last Monday, April 25.
