A Renfrew man has been fined after he bared his teeth and threatened cops.
Kenneth Burton, 42, told officers he would “remember their faces” when they arrested him on Ness Road, Renfrew, in January last year and made threats to “search” for them.
Burton, of Western Park Place, then went on to kick PC Stewart Sutherland during the drunken episode.

Procurator fiscal depute Alison McFadyen told Paisley Sheriff Court: “Around 4am on January 23, police were actioned to attend Ness Road after receiving reports of an ongoing disturbance.
“On arrival, officers traced the accused on the common pathway and they noted he was unsteady on his feet and was smelling of alcohol.
“One of the officers engaged in conversation with the accused while trying to maintain a social distance but the accused kept advancing.
“This was described as being in an aggressive manner.
“The accused was also shouting and swearing and was asked to calm down, but he refused and was bearing his teeth and grunting at officers.
“Burton then pointed in the officer's face and shouted 'F**k yous, I’ll do what I f*****g want.’
“He was arrested at this point and while PC Sutherland was placing handcuffs in him he kicked out, striking him on the leg.
“He was taken to the ground, restrained and placed in a police vehicle where he continued to act aggressively while en route to Clydebank police station.
“The accused stated ‘I’ll find out where you are, I’ll remember your face just wait and see’ and ‘I’m going to search for you.’
“He wasn’t cautioned and charged due to his level of intoxication.”
Defence agent Anthony Callaghan told the court that the factory worker had an argument with his father the night before the incident.
Mr Callaghan explained: “He had contacted his father following a breakdown in their relationship.
“He went to his father’s house, they spoke, they had a drink and unfortunately an argument kicked off and he left the house.
“He was outside when police arrived and he was emotional and acted in the way that he did.
“This was the first time he has ever been in a police station and he is embarrassed by his behaviour.”
Sheriff John Hamilton QC fined Burton £320, ordering him to pay this at £15 per week.
