A man jailed for killing a woman who his wife suspected he was having a relationship with has abandoned plans to appeal his conviction.
Craig Walker, 41, attacked Lauren Wilson leaving her with 77 injuries, including 29 stab wounds, at his flat in Renfrew reports the Record.
The trial heard that supermarket worker Lauren, 34, was about to reveal they had been in a relationship and had tried contacting Seonid, 38, on the morning of the attack on May 26, 2021.

Walker was handed a life sentence and ordered to serve at least 21 years behind bars in April.
The same month Walker instructed his legal team to challenge his conviction and sentence and an “imitation of intention to appeal” was lodged at the High Court of Criminal Appeal in Edinburgh.
He was given a deadline of June 30 to file papers setting out the grounds of his appeal but did not submit anything, meaning it is deemed abandoned.
Walker killed Lauren on the day of his ninth wedding anniversary to Seonid.
The couple had split in the summer of 2020 but Walker had been set to return to the family home.
The court heard that Walker flew into a rage at his flat and battered, strangled and stabbed Lauren before stuffing her into a sports bag.
He denied murder, insisting the mum was hurt in a “frantic struggle”. He said he lied to Lauren about having cancer in a bid to “push her away”.
