Police have renewed their appeal several months after a vicious assault which left a man in his 60s lying unconscious on the ground in Bristol last year. An initial verbal spat happened near the junction of Cheltenham Road and Zetland Road in Redland on Friday, October 28, at around 12.50am.
An assault from an unknown man followed five minutes later which led to the victim, a man in his 60s, being knocked unconscious and kicked further when on the ground.
The assailant then ran off after having stolen the victim's mobile phone, and has been described as "white, in his 40s, about 5ft 10ins, of large build, with short dark hair and a goatee", according to PC Alistair Duffield from Avon and Somerset Police.
