Remote coastal family home just a few steps from the beach

Some coastlines are so popular that finding a dream home that offers a panoramic view that's uninterrupted and uncluttered can be tricky, unless you have over £1m to spend or don't mind being cosy on the coastline with multiple neighbours.

If a sweeping beach literally on your doorstep, very few buildings in your immediate vicinity, and even the nearest village being named by some as the smallest in the county sounds like a perfectly peaceful property proposition, then maybe this character family home is a winner.

Found at the end of a private little driveway the vistas that surround this coastal abode are magnificent, from the mountains on one side to the sea on the other, and a huge sky above - you won't be short of a totally absorbing view whichever window you are gazing out of.

The spacious family home can be found, eventually, along the coast from the tiny hamlet of Dinas Dinlle on the north coast of Gwynedd between Caernarfon and Trefor and offers a unique location and not just for its unspoilt, sweeping sands.

Website Visit Snowdonia states that in good weather it's possible to see all the way along the Llŷn Peninsula and across to Llanddwyn Island on the Isle of Anglesey from the large seashore from this small village. The beach is so vast it has two slipways and there's plenty of room to try an array of water sports, including windsurfing, surfing and even scuba diving.

But the village of Dinas Dinlle is also known for its archaeology and history because of the remains of an Iron Age settlement, now only mounds in the earth, proving that this stunning location has been captivating inhabitants for thousands of years.

The wildlife and habitat is special too - the area is a designated 'Site of Special Scientific Interest' (SSSI) for its valuable natural habitat, ornithologists are attracted to the location to study its thriving bird populations, and anglers can't keep away, attracted by the exceptional bass fishing.

Maybe it's not as remote a location as it first appears for this house then, there's plenty to do at this unique spot, but the chance of living right by the beach remains.

From front door to front garden to foreshore, a day at the beach can be every day for the new owner of this detached character home.

The handsome house stands under 200 metres from the beach, so an uninterrupted sea view to the horizon is not a problem and is a constant draw, enchanting you to watch the seasons scamper across the sea shore and the sky is endlessly entertaining.

Imagine your daily exercise being a brisk walk battling sea breezes or a run along sun-kissed sands, depending on the season, or depending on what the wonderful Welsh weather has in store for you - maybe all four seasons in one day.

The coastal road that passes the property - not exactly the A55 (Google maps)

There is the main road of the village to cross before sinking your feet into the warm sand but it's hardly the M4 or A55. The stone house itself makes the most of its enviable position, with a front, ground floor section that has glass as its primary material.

The front door is found encased in glass as part of a stunning entrance porch that is double-height with a vaulted ceiling that happily houses a substantial, sparkling chandelier as the first and most fancy feature to welcome you home.

The central hall is an open-plan zone of the front section of the house that is all about the views from the large windows, although plenty of character is created in the two lounge areas either side of the entrance via a robust brick fireplace at one end and exposed, honey-toned ceiling beams throughout.

The two box bay windows either side of the entrance porch are perfect places to position a squishy sofa and the current owners have done just that. The dining room is joining the open-plan party by being accessed via a generous open double door way and spans a section of the back of the house along with the kitchen and both have their own charm.

The dining room continues the exposed ceiling beams first found in the lounge areas and the slate flooring flows into this sociable space too. The kitchen is a traditional country-style that has dual aspect views of the mountains outside and a view of a classic green range cooker nestled within a chimney breast on the inside.

But the open-plan layout doesn't flow throughout the whole of the ground floor of this property, an added side extension offers a separate and presumably quieter reception space. As it's new, the design has been built around the views via two picture windows and a set of wide French doors out to the front garden.

The vaulted, double-height ceiling with exposed beams continues the visual reward for anyone looking up that the other rooms have already established and also continues the airy and spacious feel that this home exudes, even on a dull, cloudy day.

This added space is a very appealing place to relax by the log burner but if a new owner needed a downstairs bedroom, this would be the perfect answer, with a cloakroom and a separate utility room both handy additions on the ground floor.

But there are ample choices for sleeping on the first floor if climbing the gallery-style staircase at the centre of the house is not an issue. The house currently has three bedrooms on the first floor, with the master having an ensuite bathroom, and there's an additional, separate shower room.

The second floor has two additional rooms that are labelled by the estate agent as store rooms and presumably, with some renovation work to comply with building regulations and with planning consent, they could become two marketable bedrooms, as they are currently being used as such.

Or maybe the whole of the second floor could be dedicated to a luxurious master suite, with a five star style ensuite, separate dressing room and, of course, those stunning sea views and tidal waves as the sights and sounds to send you off to sleep.

The house with the view and the beach as its best neighbour is for sale for offers in the region of £599,950 with eXp UK, Wales, call them on 0800 358 1796 to find out more.
